Research

Fata He BME Development has extensive experience of research (see download section) which draws on the experiences of black and minority ethnic people within communities (one of our team has an MSc in Social Research, and is currently completing a PhD in B&ME participation in urban regeneration programmes using a local New Deal for Communities programme as an evaluative case study). Fata He use quantitative, qualitative and evaluative techniques through surveys, case studies, focus groups and interviews, and our research criteria is based on the following:

  • Knowledge of local areas, context and associated issues which affect black and minority ethnic communities
  • Knowledge of local and sub regional services available, especially services focussed on meeting the needs of black and minority ethnic communities
  • Ability to engage and interact through desktop or outreach research with members of statutory, public, voluntary and community and private sector organisations and with members of black and minority ethnic communities
  • Available during working hours, evenings and weekends
  • To ‘de-brief’ client on completion of research
